Version 1.0.</p> <p>This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Bazeta ("we", "us") collects when you use the website bazeta.com, our mobile applications and related services (the "Service"), why we collect it, how long we keep it, with whom we share it and what rights you have. Data we collect</h2> <h3 id="1-1-data-you-give-us">1.1. Data you give us</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Account data:</strong> email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), optional phone number, username, display name, avatar, bio, language, country and city, currency preference, notification preferences.</li> <li><strong>Listing data:</strong> everything you put into a listing — title, description, price, category attributes, photos, location (city and, if you add it, address or map pin), contact options (whether to show your phone, allow chat).</li> <li><strong>Dating profiles:</strong> age, gender, who you are seeking, relationship goal, height, children, smoking, languages, photos and free text. Dating data is provided voluntarily and is shown publicly in the Dating section to users who have confirmed they are 18+. Please do not include health, religious, political or other sensitive information you do not want to make public.</li> <li><strong>Business data:</strong> company name, address, phone, email, website, opening hours, services, prices, logo and photos, manager accounts, verification documents you upload when claiming a business.</li> <li><strong>Messages:</strong> the content of chats with other users, images sent in chats, booking requests, lead forms and reviews.</li> <li><strong>Payment data:</strong> when you buy a paid service, our payment processor (Polar Software Inc. on the web; Apple or Google in the apps) collects your payment details. We receive only the order identifier, product, amount, currency, status, your email and, where provided, your billing country and tax identifier. We never receive full card numbers.</li> <li><strong>Support requests:</strong> the content of emails and forms you send us.</li> </ul> <h3 id="1-2-data-we-collect-automatically">1.2. Data we collect automatically</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Technical data:</strong> IP address, approximate location derived from IP (country and city), browser and device type, operating system, language, referrer, pages viewed, timestamps, session identifiers, crash reports from the apps.</li> <li><strong>Usage data:</strong> listings viewed, searches, favorites, saved searches, "show phone" clicks, boosts purchased, notification interactions.</li> <li><strong>Cookies and similar technologies:</strong> see our <a href="/legal/cookies" rel="noopener noreferrer">Cookie Policy</a>.</li> <li><strong>Push tokens:</strong> if you enable notifications, the browser or device push token.</li> <li><strong>Bot-protection data:</strong> Cloudflare Turnstile tokens or proof-of-work results used to distinguish humans from bots.</li> </ul> <h3 id="1-3-data-from-other-sources">1.3. Data from other sources</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Public data sources:</strong> business profiles may be created from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and job listings from public job feeds. These contain business contact details (name, address, phone, website, opening hours) and job descriptions; they do not contain private individuals' data except where a sole trader's business is listed under their name.</li> <li><strong>Payment processors and app stores:</strong> order and subscription status.</li> <li><strong>Other users:</strong> reports, reviews and messages that mention you.</li> </ul> <h2 id="2-why-we-process-your-data-and-on-what-legal-basis">2. Automated moderation may hide a listing pending human review; you can always ask for human review at [email protected].</p> <h2 id="3-public-information">3. Public information</h2> <p>Listings, business pages, dating profiles, reviews, your display name, avatar, city and public statistics (e.g. member since, rating) are visible to anyone on the internet, may be indexed by search engines and may appear in our apps, sitemaps, RSS feeds and social media. Your email and phone are never shown publicly unless you choose "show phone" on a listing. Messages are private between the participants and our moderation systems.</p> <p>Think carefully before publishing photos that show faces, licence plates, house numbers or documents. You may not publish other people's personal data without their permission.</p> <h2 id="4-sharing-your-data">4. Sharing your data</h2> <p>We share personal data only as described here:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Other users:</strong> the public content described in section 3, and messages you send.</li> <li><strong>Service providers (processors)</strong> acting on our instructions: hosting and infrastructure, Cloudflare (CDN, DNS, bot protection), email delivery, push-notification services (Apple APNs, Google FCM, web push), payment processors (Polar as merchant of record; Apple; Google), error and performance monitoring, backup storage.</li> <li><strong>Advertising partners:</strong> Adsterra (web) and Google AdMob (apps) may set cookies or read advertising identifiers to show ads and measure them, subject to your consent where required. Pro and Business subscribers see no third-party ads.</li> <li><strong>Search engines and syndication partners:</strong> public listing data via sitemaps, IndexNow and RSS.</li> <li><strong>Authorities:</strong> where required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or Bazeta (for example, in cases of fraud or threats).</li> <li><strong>Business transfer:</strong> in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.</li> </ul> <p>We do not sell personal data.</p> <h2 id="5-international-transfers">5. International transfers</h2> <p>Our servers are located in the European Union. Some service providers may process data outside your country.</p> <h2 id="6-retention">6. Retention</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Account:</strong> for as long as the account exists. After deletion, the account is anonymised within 30 days; backups are overwritten within 35 days.</li> <li><strong>Listings:</strong> visible until expiry; expired listings remain viewable for 30 days, then are archived (photos deleted, text retained without personal contact data for statistics and fraud prevention for up to 2 years).</li> <li><strong>Messages:</strong> 2 years after the last message in the conversation, or until account deletion.</li> <li><strong>Payment and invoice records:</strong> 10 years, as required by tax law.</li> <li><strong>Moderation and audit logs, reports, ban records:</strong> 3 years, to prevent repeat abuse.</li> <li><strong>Server logs and technical data:</strong> up to 90 days.</li> <li><strong>Email delivery logs:</strong> 12 months.</li> <li><strong>Push tokens:</strong> until you disable notifications or the token becomes invalid.</li> </ul> <h2 id="7-security">7. Security</h2> <p>We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS), password hashing (Argon2), access controls, rate limiting, bot protection, backups and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password and enable two-factor options where available.</p> <h2 id="8-your-rights">8. Your rights</h2> <p>Depending on your location you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; receive a copy in a portable format; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing); and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.</p> <p>You can exercise most rights yourself in <strong>Settings</strong> (edit profile, download your data, delete account, notification preferences). For anything else, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity.</p> <h3 id="8-2-california-and-other-us-state-residents">8.2. California and other US state residents</h3> <p>Under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Third-party advertising cookies may constitute "sharing"; you can opt out via the cookie banner, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser (which we honour), or by subscribing to Pro. Authorised agents may submit requests at [email protected]. We do not knowingly collect data of persons under 16.</p> <h3 id="8-4-other-countries">8.4. Other countries</h3> <p>Residents of other countries (for example Türkiye under KVKK, Russia under 152-FZ, South Africa under POPIA, India under the DPDP Act, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia under their PDPA laws, Japan under APPI, Australia under the Privacy Act) may have similar rights, which we honour to the extent required by the applicable law. Where local law requires storage of citizens' data within the country, we will work with you to comply or restrict the Service.</p> <h2 id="9-children">9. Children</h2> <p>The Service is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
