Workplace Experience Manager

WHO WE ARE
At Proxima Fusion, we're driven by a bold mission – to redefine the future of sustainable energy. Our unique concept, built upon the groundbreaking W7-X stellarator and the latest advances in technology, paves the way for commercially viable fusion power plants.
What’s more, our work in stellarator optimization, powered by cutting-edge computation and machine learning, is propelling us into uncharted territories of fusion technology. New higher performance design points are unlocked by high temperature superconducting magnets.
To fully grasp this huge opportunity, we’re building a team of extremely dedicated and passionate people who come together driving something extraordinary, radically transforming technology in the world.

WHY JOIN PROXIMA FUSION

• You will get to work on some of the most complex tech challenges to bring abundant, safe, clean energy to the world.

• You'll get to join and learn from an exceptional selection of accomplished and driven individuals.

• Do your life’s best work and enjoy the journey.

• Get to show that big things are possible in Europe when you assemble the best talent.

YOUR IMPACT

• As Workplace Experience Manager, you will own how it feels to work at Proxima across Munich, Oxford, Zurich and the sites still to come.

• You'll lead our office managers, set one standard for the workplace experience, and work with Security, Operations and IT so every site runs smoothly, new ones included.

• This role suits someone who builds structure where there isn't any yet and cares about the details people notice.

• As we grow across countries, you'll shape the spaces and rituals that make Proxima feel like one company, wherever our people sit.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the workplace experience across Munich, Oxford, Zurich and future sites, setting one shared standard and making sure every location delivers on it.

• Lead and develop the office management team, setting clear priorities and service levels so the sites run as one team, not three separate offices.

• Launch new sites, owning fit-out input, vendor setup and local processes so each new office reaches standard quickly.

• Act as the single point of contact between Security, Operations and IT on anything that affects employees' day-to-day: access, equipment, safety and space.

• Standardise processes, policies and tools, so employees get the same answers and service levels wherever they work.

• Manage the workplace budget and vendors across sites, balancing consistency with cost.

• Gather employee feedback through pulse checks and site walk-throughs, and turn it into concrete improvements.

• Shape culture through space and rituals, partnering with People on events, onboarding moments and community-building so the offices actively support how teams work together.

WHO YOU ARE

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Reliable, structured, and comfortable handling recurring administrative tasks

• A clear and professional communicator in English (German is a plus)

• Comfortable working with Google Workspace, Slack, and other productivity tools

• Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive information

• Proactive and service-oriented, with a “can-do” mindset

INTERVIEW PROCESS

• Recruiter interview (30-60 min)

• Hiring Manager interview (30-45 min)

• Team interviews (2x60 min)

*This role sits at "LvL 2 out of 6" of our framework, please inquire during the recruitment process for further information.

At Proxima Fusion, our mission is bold: making limitless clean energy a reality. To get there, we need a high-performing, diverse team that brings different perspectives, challenges assumptions, and builds together with purpose. We know that diversity of thought and experience leads to better ideas, stronger execution, and a more resilient team. We don’t look at how you identify, what you look like, who you choose to worship or what ethnicity you are. We care about what you can bring to the table.
