QA Engineer

We're looking for a QA Engineer to join White Circle , an AI Safety company building the policy enforcement and optimization layer for AI systems. Backed by $11M from senior leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, and DeepMind, White Circle processes 100M+ API calls monthly and runs its own LLMs in production. This is a manual-first product QA role, with automation as a key tool.
You will

• Manually test new features and fixes across the web platform and APIs in fast release cycles, sometimes as short as one working day.

• Identify the highest-risk areas, run exploratory, smoke, regression, and integration testing, and give clear release feedback.

• Write concise test plans and checklists, investigate unexpected behavior, and file reproducible bug reports.

• Work with engineers and product owners to clarify requirements and improve testability before development is complete.

• Automate stable, business-critical flows with Playwright and Python, and integrate them into CI/CD.

Requirements

• 2+ years in QA automation, including building frameworks from scratch.

• Strong Playwright experience for E2E UI testing and scalable test suite design.

• Clean Python automation code (pytest, fixtures, parametrize).

• Hands-on CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

• Practical use of AI coding agents and LLM-powered developer tools in testing workflows.

• Fluent English and clear communication.

• Based in or relocating to Paris or London (hybrid).

Bonus

• Testing AI/LLM products: non-deterministic outputs, confidence scoring, edge-case prompts.

• Performance or load testing (k6, Locust).

• API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, Yaak) or contract testing.

• Security-aware QA or SOC 2 environments.
