TrustedHousesitters is a fast growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel.

Here at TrustedHousesitters, we’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. We’ve got big plans on becoming the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. We’ve built something pretty special: a trusted place where pet owners and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world.

We’ve already grown into a global community with members in over 140 countries, a product people genuinely love, and a team of more than 100 brilliant humans powering it all.

But we’re only just getting started. Our goal? To grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.

At the moment, a sit starts every two minutes somewhere on the planet. We want that to be every single minute and we know the only way we’ll get there is with the right people in the right roles.

The right people in the right roles will shape our future. So, here’s the big question: Could that be you?

The Role

We're looking for a proactive, pragmatic People Partner to join us on a fixed-term basis at a pivotal part of our growth journey.

Working closely with the Senior People Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the People Partnering (HRBP) model deeper into a fully-remote scale-up. You'll strengthen line manager capability, while partnering with the wider team to embed our capability frameworks as we move to a High Performance model.

You'll also pick up ER casework as and when required, providing practical support to line managers and employees. Reporting to the Director of People & Talent, you'll be a trusted point of contact across the business while getting stuck into the initiatives that shape how we work.

This is a great opportunity for a People Partner who's ready to bring strong partnering skills that drive immediate positive outcomes, balancing commercial priorities with the needs of our people. In pursuit of this you will ideally draw upon a blend of established and newer HRBP practice, applied to a purpose-led, fully-remote scale-up. A genuine interest in what we do is important too - we're looking for someone who'll always keep our members and their pets in mind.

What you'll be doing

People Partnering & Projects:

People Partners empower managers and SLT to make their teams and functions as effective as they can be, through supporting high performance, diagnosing the root cause of team issues, and amplifying capability across the business.

• Work alongside the Senior People Partner to fully embed the HRBP (People Partnering) model across our functions in a fully-remote, scale-up environment, with People Partners embedded into specific functions as trusted strategic advisors to SLT and managers.

• Act as a strategic sounding board for SLT and managers, always looking to understand the "why" behind a decision, pulling this back to our purpose, our members and our commercial goals, and leading with kindness throughout.

• Get under the skin of team and functional issues, diagnosing root causes rather than symptoms, and using this insight to amplify manager and team capability.

• Support the development and roll-out of capability frameworks (including feedback models, ways of working & role capabilities) as we move towards a High Performance model
ER Advisory:

• Pick up ER casework as and when required, providing timely, pragmatic support to managers and employees through investigation processes and outcomes.

What we're looking for:

•
Experience in a People Partner or HRBP role, ideally within a fully-remote, fast-paced scale-up.

•
Understanding and hands-on experience of embedding the HRBP model within a People Function, ideally within a start-up or scale-up environment.

•
A dual lens of commercial acumen and people advocacy, ensuring people decisions are grounded in business reality without losing sight of the human impact

•
Comfortable leading or supporting on disciplinary and grievance investigations.

•
Solid knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy and best practice.

•
Confident advising and building relationships with managers and employees at all levels.

•
A genuine interest in connecting people initiatives to wider business goals, with a naturally curious, solutions-focused mindset - particularly around manager capability and High Performance.

•
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•
Able to balance pragmatism with empathy and a strong sense of fairness.

•
Experience working in a fully-remote environment, ideally within a scale-up moving towards a High Performance culture.

•
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent hands-on experience).

•
Experience using HRIS platforms (we use Humaans) and Google Workspace is a plus.

You’ll feel like a fish out of water if:

We know this isn't what you'd see in most job ads - but TrustedHousesitters isn't most companies.

Trust, transparency, and honest feedback aren't just things we say; they're genuinely how we operate, every day. So rather than leaving you guessing if things don't work out, we'd rather give you what you need to make a great decision upfront about whether this opportunity is right for you.

With that in mind, here are a few things worth considering before you hit apply.

You’ll feel like a fish out of water if:

•
You want a market with the rules already written - we're creating something that hasn't existed before, so uncertainty comes with the territory…
