About Upsun
Upsun is the software factory for human-AI workflows. We give teams one unified platform to create, review, deploy, and run software, with AI agents and humans working in sync. Developers, DevOps engineers, and platform teams use Upsun to build and ship with confidence, without wrestling with infrastructure. Upsun brings this together through two products: Upsun Dispatch, the AI-first product accelerator, and Upsun Cloud, the Cloud Application Platform for AI acceleration, with predictable performance at scale, secure compliant environments by default, real-time observability and profiling, cloning and provisioning in seconds, and sandbox environments where AI agents can build and test safely.
Impact of a Product Manager
As a Product Manager at Upsun, you own a significant area of Upsun Cloud, our cloud application platform, and the outcomes it delivers for the developers who build on it. The team you join owns the platform’s foundations: the API, the runtime, environments, and the reliability every application running on Upsun depends on. This is a hands-on, technically rich role that bridges product strategy and deep infrastructure understanding. You own the strategy and the roadmap for your area, working closely with engineering to define platform behavior, build scalable abstractions, and shape workflows that empower modern development teams.
What to expect
Strategy and roadmap: own the strategy, roadmap, and priorities for your area of Upsun Cloud. Problem definition: synthesize inputs from customers, support, sales, and engineering into clear problem statements. Solution definition: explore options with your team and land on the right scope. Ship small, iterate fast. Technical execution: collaborate with engineering to deliver platform capabilities that are reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly. Design for humans and agents: ensure features, APIs, documentation, and error messages serve both people and AI agents. Customer and data authority: connect with customers regularly and define metrics that demonstrate value. Influence across teams and go-to-market: partner with Product Marketing early so go-to-market strategy helps shape the product.
What you bring
Product management experience owning a distinct product area, ideally focused on developer platforms, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure. Technical depth in building, deploying, and running applications in the cloud, including multi-tenant architectures or distributed systems. Software development background with languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Go, or Rust. Hands-on experience or close collaboration with CI/CD workflows, Docker/OCI container technologies, and API design. AI fluency: daily use of modern AI tools paired with a realistic understanding of their limits. A strong perspective on autonomous agent architecture. Comfort navigating ambiguity, collaborative communication, and data-informed decision making. Bonus points for enthusiasm for testing the platform capabilities you help build and experience using Kubernetes or building self-service platforms on Kubernetes.
Where we hire
At Upsun, remote work is our foundation. Our team spans more than 30 countries, and we are currently hiring for this role in Germany, Canada, Spain, France, and the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time, but we welcome applications from all qualified candidates who are legally authorized to work in these countries. Benefits include flexible PTO, comprehensive healthcare coverage (UK, Canada, France, Spain, USA), company stock options, professional development budget, office equipment budget, wellness budget, annual team gatherings, internet reimbursement, inclusive parental leave, and a remote work travel program.
