Free afrobeat dance course for youth. Registration for the class begins on August 17 at 9:00. We meet weekly on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In Afrobeat dance classes, influences are drawn from various dance styles across Africa, such as Ghanaian Azonto, Nigerian Zanku dance, and Congolese Ndombolo. Many of the movements practiced in class originate from the streets of different African countries and have spread worldwide, for example to France, England, and the United States. The instructors are skilled young dancers with whom everyone gets the chance to learn something new. At the end of the season, the dance performance practiced during the class will be presented at a joint event, if it can be arranged. For the class, you will need indoor sports shoes, loose and comfortable clothing, and a water bottle. Photo: Caro
