Appium

Best for: Cross-platform teams testing both iOS and Android, especially those with Selenium experience or testing third-party apps without source code access.

Pros:
+ Supports native, hybrid, and mobile web apps on both iOS and Android via a single WebDriver-based API
+ Allows testing in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, and Ruby
+ Enables black-box testing without requiring app modification or source code access
+ Features a plugin architecture for extensibility in Appium 2.0+

Cons:
- Slower than native frameworks due to external communication latency
- Complex setup requiring Appium server, drivers, and dependencies
- Higher test flakiness due to timing issues
