Our journey: Founded in 2017 by Alexandre and Steve , Qonto has grown to 1,600+ Qontoers serving over 600,000+ customers across 8 European countries. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started.
Our beliefs: We hire for skills and potential. With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process because the best teams are built on merit.
AI at Qonto: AI is deeply embedded in how we work ( here ) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
🌏 Location: You can choose to work in Qonto as long as you're living in (or willing to relocate to) either Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, or Spain.
Mission: Join us as a Frontend Engineer to craft the web apps that 600,000+ European SMEs rely on every day, from the customer-facing features that make finance simpler to the design system powering every pixel of our product.
➡️ As a Frontend Engineer at Qonto, you will
• Craft new features for our customers within a squad Team, owning quality from design to production.
• Grow in technical leadership : lead design discussions, contribute to guild-wide improvement, and raise the bar for developer experience across your peers
• Be a key player in teamwork with Product, Design, and other Tech stacks
• Work AI-first: use AI as a default part of how you explore the codebase, draft technical designs, prototype solutions, and accelerate delivery, while keeping strong human judgment and quality standards
➡️ What you can expect: our methodology, the Qonto Way
• At Qonto, we value diversity and are proud to have 33% non-male in our Frontend guild.
• You will contribute to and use our own design system and UI library , which we built from scratch.
• You will be part of a team that is driven by quality . Our org assigns one team lead per project across stacks, giving your team a clear mission and full autonomy on how it operates
• You will have access to best-in-class AI tools (e.g., Claude / Claude Code and internal workflows) and the autonomy to experiment, share learnings, and help scale what works across the guild
• You will bring your energy and skills to improve the team’s tools and processes at many levels, contributing to a better developer experience for all your peers.
You can watch this interview of Imen , who joined the team as a Lead in January 2023.
➡️ Your future team
As a Frontend Engineer, you'll join one of Qonto's squad teams, each with a clear project mission, one team lead, and full product ownership. You'll be part of a 100+ strong Frontend community within a 500+ Product Engineering department, working in teams of 5 to 10 people alongside Product, Design, and peers from Backend and Mobile.
We hold ourselves to high standards , and we've shipped several open-source JS libraries along the way. We almost completed a migration to React . Now is an exciting time to join, especially if you want to hone your expertise in React over the coming years!
➡️ About You
To succeed as a Frontend Engineer at Qonto, you will need to demonstrate:
• Proficiency in frontend engineering : you have at least three years of professional experience using React.js, as well as HTML and CSS. We don’t use CSS libraries such as Tailwind, so you will need to know how to write pure CSS.
• Attention to detail : you strive for excellence in every aspect of your job. You don’t gloss over minor issues and you understand that great work is the accumulation of many small things done right.
• Communication skills : you explain your thoughts in a clear, organized, concise and accurate manner.
• AI fluency & good judgment : you can leverage AI to move faster (research, writing, coding, testing) while staying critical, validating outputs, and protecting the product’s reliability and user trust
At Qonto, we understand that true diversity isn’t just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick — who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we’ve been searching for all along.
By applying, you agree that Qonto processes your personal data to assess your application. Your data is kept for up to 2 years in our candidate pool. Read our Privacy Notice for full details.
