Intermediate Java Developer

• Design and validate end-to-end solutions for complex web and digital platforms

• Act as a local technical coordination layer between Portugal and international teams

• Define and govern integration patterns (APIs, asynchronous flows, frontend–backend interaction)

• Design applications and technical solutions;

• Create new programs and develop existing programs;

• Ensure and organize a smooth and easy deploy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in solution design for web and digital platforms

• Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs and integration patterns

• Expertise in Java technologies

• Experience with front-end frameworks (plus)

• Strong knowledge of SQL (SQL Server/Oracle) and NoSQL databases

• Practical experience with cloud services

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Professional English (C1 level required in spoken and written)

• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong collaboration skills within distributed and cross-functional teams

• Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability

• Structured approach to incident and problem management

• Ability to prioritize workload efficiently in a dynamic environment

• Must hold a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space nationality to legally work in Portugal

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated environments

• French or Dutch language skills
