Contemporary Dance

Discover the art of movement – Join our FREE Contemporary Dance course for young people!” The class difficulty level is “open level,” meaning it is designed for both beginners and those who have been practicing more classical dance styles for a longer time (such as jazz dance, contemporary dance, and ballet). In the classes, we work on various technique exercises, across-the-floor movements, and dance combinations. You will learn to use your body in versatile ways, including floor work and jumps at different levels. Interpreting music as part of dance and storytelling is a strong element of the class content. Dance combinations that require emotional expression help improve the dancer’s ability to convey feelings and fully immerse themselves in the performance. In the class, you will learn beautiful choreographies, and if you wish, you can also take part in performing them in our showcases. Photo: Caroliina
