Founder Forward: Crowdfunding Mini-hack

Set up a campaign to fund your best idea Produced by: Business Helsinki X Culture4Flow In collaboration with International Startup Founders Finland, Startup Refugees & Think Africa. Crowdfunding campaigns take more than a good pitch — they take people who can write copy, build community, design visuals, or crunch the numbers. Most founders don't have all of that in-house, and figuring out what to delegate (and to whom) is often the real bottleneck. Founder Forward's first mini-hack brings founders together with skilled professionals for one focused evening: founders bring a real crowdfunding challenge, teams of doers pitch in to solve it, and everyone leaves with a plan — and new connections. A company may be selected for the mini-hack if it has a Business ID (y-tunnus) and has not participated in a Business Helsinki hackathon within the past year. Company registration is rolling and ends when places are filled. This mini-hack is for you, if you're a founder who wants to: - Get outside perspective on your crowdfunding plan - Find people to help execute — writers, designers, community builders, finance minds - Test your business model and pitch with fresh eyes - Discover potential co-founders, freelancers, or advisors - Get input from investors and funding platforms on the jury Or if you're a professional who wants to: - Put your skills to work on a real startup challenge - Build your portfolio with a concrete case - Meet founders you could work with, join, or advise - Expand your network among Helsinki's international startup community Program: Open doors in event space Kaskadi 12-15:30 Join our open space on the 4th floor of Innovation Home at the heart of Kamppi, work on your projects, meet other entrepreneurs and potential collaborators, and get to know our office, people and services Mini-hack 16:30–19:00 16:30 Check-in 16:45 Reminder of workshop theory 17:00 Facilitated work in groups 18:00 Break/Pizza/Presentation Prep time 18:20 Group work presentations Mini-hack Jury: Niklas Green, Commercial Director, Invesdor Oy Marika Makaroff, CEO & founder, Gutsy Pictures Oy Reidar Wasenius, AI Researcher at Aalto University, Personal Brainer, Voice This mini-hack is facilitated by Marika Makaroff.
