Cybersecurity Intern
Company: Sereact GmbH
Location: Stuttgart, Germany
About the role
Help us improve the security and monitoring of our cloud infrastructure and internal systems. A key project will be building and rolling out our SIEM platform for centralized security monitoring and threat detection. You’ll also work on vulnerability management and ISO 27001/SOC 2 controls, while developing security tools and automation using Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
You’ll receive technical guidance and gradually take ownership of practical security projects.
Responsibilities
• Help build, deploy, and maintain our SIEM platform, integrating logs from cloud infrastructure, applications, identity systems, and network devices.
• Configure monitoring dashboards, detection rules, and alerts to monitor infrastructure health and security.
• Improve infrastructure security through access reviews, secure configurations, and vulnerability remediation.
• Investigate alerts and support incident response.
• Develop and maintain security automation and integrate checks into CI/CD workflows.
• Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 controls, audit evidence collection, and documentation.
Requirements
• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure security, networking, Linux, and SIEM concepts.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Practical coding experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus familiarity with Git.
• Curiosity, clear communication, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Nice to have
• Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Exposure to SIEM, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, or compliance tools such as Vanta.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.
• Experience with REST APIs.
You don’t need experience with every technology listed. We’re looking for curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a practical approach to solving problems.
Our Interview Plan
• Recruiter screen: Discuss your background, interests, and availability.
• Technical screen: Explore your technical knowledge and problem-solving approach.
• Final round: Meet the team leadership and learn more about the role and working environment.
What We Offer
• Wellpass gym membership
• Flexible working hours
• Option to work from home when needed
• A motivated team and an open corporate culture
• Hands-on security experience in an AI robotics environment
• Mentorship and learning opportunities within a fast-paced startup
