About Us:
YipitData is the leading market research and analytics firm for Brands and Retailers. We analyze billions of alternative data points daily to provide accurate, detailed insights on retail, ridesharing, e-commerce marketplaces, payments, brands, and more. Our on-demand insights team uses proprietary technology to identify, license, clean, and analyze the data upon which many of the world’s largest investment funds and corporations depend.
For three years and counting, we have been recognized as one of Inc's Best Workplaces . We are a fast-growing technology company backed by The Carlyle Group and Norwest Venture Partners. Our offices are in NYC, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, Seattle, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Singapore. We cultivate a people-centric culture focused on mastery, ownership, and transparency.
About The Role:
We are hiring a Business Development Associate to help our Corporate Sales team engage new clients. Our newest Business Development Associate will identify prospective opportunities and utilize a number of communication methods to begin a sales engagement, as well as qualify inbound sales leads/opportunities and follow up with marketing-qualified opportunities.
The Business Development Associate career progression is a path toward being a Sales Associate, and then a Sales Executive focused on bringing on and engaging new business.
This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States, but we strongly prefer this person to be in commutable distance to NYC for initial training. Depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.
In this role, you’ll gain experience in:
• Developing creative outbound sales skills by leveraging various communication methods, including cold calling, cold emailing, direct mail, and more.
• Working with Product, Sales, C-level stakeholders, and Strategy professionals who rely on the next generation of alternative data research to help with their strategic decisions.
• Collaborating with Marketing to optimize the opportunity conversion process
• Mapping out organizational structures of leading Brands and Retailers to identify prospective users
• Opportunity to develop skills across a broad range of sales tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Groove, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, Asana, and others
You are likely to succeed if:
• You have experience as an SDR (either in an internship or full-time role) and a strong desire to be in sales
• You are passionate about contributing to the future of data-driven solutions for Brands and Retailers.
• You are excited by understanding the needs of Brands and Retailers
• You are creative and like to think of different ways to engage prospects
• You are empathetic and have strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
• You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• You have a positive outlook
• You are resourceful and excited to learn
• You have sound judgment when handling new situations
What We Offer:
Our compensation package includes comprehensive benefits, perks, and a competitive salary:
• We care about your personal life, and we mean it. We offer flexible work hours, flexible vacation, a generous 401K match, parental leave, team events, a wellness budget, learning reimbursement, and more!
• Your growth at YipitData is determined by the impact that you are making, not by tenure, unnecessary facetime, or office politics. Everyone at YipitData is empowered to learn, self-improve, and master their skills in an environment of ownership, respect, and trust.
• The annual salary for this position is anticipated to be up to $92,500 On-Target-Earning ($70,000 Base + $22,500 Variable). The final offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal team benchmarks.
This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Please note that our US headquarters are located in NYC. We also have office hubs in Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, and Seattle. If the remote work is performed outside these offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
Please note that for this position, we are not able to consider candidates who currently or in the future will require visa sponsorship.
We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
