WordPress

Best for: Content-heavy sites and blogs planning to scale past 100 pages or requiring full code ownership

Pros:
+ Offers over 60,000 plugins for extended functionality like WooCommerce
+ Gutenberg Site Editor (Phase 3) allows full-site customization without code
+ Provides full ownership of content, database, and files for easy migration
+ Supports complex sites and large content platforms with no ceiling on scale

Cons:
- Requires technical knowledge for installation, backups, and security patches
- Site stability depends on plugin quality; badly coded plugins can break sites
- Steeper learning curve compared to hosted builders with guided setups
