Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?
At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.
To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.
Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.
While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
This role sits within the UK Growth & Ops team. We oversee all aspects of Coinbase UK operations – from product and regulatory operations, to service delivery, technology and outsourcing oversight. The team also drives country-level growth initiatives that align with both the UK market priorities and Coinbase’s global strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
• Oversee daily operations for our equities and derivatives business, including customer onboarding, trade routing and outsourced service delivery
• Act as a first line of defence in identifying and escalating operational issues, ensuring timely resolution with internal and external partners
• Monitor the performance of intra-group outsourcing arrangements to ensure compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Product teams to ensure processes meet MiFID and FCA standards
• Produce and maintain operational MI (management information) to track performance, incidents, and customer outcomes
• Contribute to operational readiness for new product launches, system changes, and regulatory initiatives
• Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for efficiency; support decision-making with clear insights
• Lead or support process improvement projects to strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and improve customer experience
What we look for in you:
• Prior experience in financial services, ideally within capital markets, trading, or post-trade operations
• Strong understanding of operational processes around order flow, settlement, or derivatives trading (experience with MiFID products a plus)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to structure and interpret data to generate insights
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is critical
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow with the business
Nice to haves:
• Comfort working with spreadsheets and data tools (SQL experience desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with or overseeing outsourced service providers is an advantage
