Product Engineer

Who We Are
Inato is a Tech for Good company striving to bring clinical research to each and every patient, regardless of who they are or where they live. To do this, we are building the world's first clinical trial platform to create greater visibility, access, and engagement across a more diverse population of doctors and their patients.
Drug development is a challenging, intellectually complex, and rewarding endeavor: we enable global pharmaceutical companies to confidently partner with community-based researchers to increase patient access to the latest medical innovations. Our AI-powered platform currently offers clinical trials from leading companies to over 5,500 sites across the globe and we are well poised for growth in 2026.
We are a growing team of passionate pharmaceutical experts, software and AI engineers, professional services members, and many more—all bringing their unique perspectives to solve the challenges facing clinical research.
Inato is the recent recipient of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024, Fierce Healthcare’s Fierce 15, and Built In's Best Places to Work 2025.
The Role
We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to join our engineering team and build our product. You will report to an engineering manager and work in a diverse team composed of a product lead, AI engineers, and other software engineers.
You will be fully responsible for the development of new features in the product, guided by the product team’s focus on business impact. You will do this while maintaining the health of our codebase so that we can keep improving the product as fast as possible.
How is this opportunity different?

• you will work on a product already used in production but still early in its life

• you will work hand-in-hand with a product team that cares more about business impact than the number of features delivered

• you will join an engineering team of 15 engineers with a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement

Typical projects you could be working on:

• an integration of a service used by sites to manage their patients (called EHR) so that we can assess them against a trial.

• build a central experience for site networks that own several sites and allow them to bulk apply to trials and assess patients across their sites.

Salary range: 45k€ - 65k€, depending on experience.
Responsibilities

• Build features from beginning to end (design, implementation, deployment, support)

• Continuously work on improving the team processes and tools

• Share what you learn internally (ex: talk) and externally (ex: blog post)

Qualifications

• You can communicate clearly in both written and oral form in English and French

• As a full-stack software engineer, you have built and maintained a web product, in a team, in a fast-paced environment for 2 years or more.

• You have experience being proactive in your collaboration with product managers and designers, and want to leverage domain-driven design to make it effective.

• You are proficient with Typescript, React, and Next.JS

Bonus

• You have experience with functional programming, and want to use it in your job

• You worked in the healthcare industry

• You have experience in a startup/scaleup with a SaaS product

• You have faced the challenge of collaborating for several months on a shared codebase, and applied software craftsmanship techniques (TDD, clean code) to increase both pace and quality.
