Make impact. Be human. Stay curious.

Who we are
Founded in 2006, Rewire is an applied AI company helping organizations reinvent how they work with data and AI. We partner with leading organizations across industries to create scalable business impact by solving complex challenges through data, AI, and technology. Our team of 100+ data scientists, engineers, and change agents operates across Europe from offices in the Netherlands and Germany. Strategic in intent and pragmatic in execution, we combine deep Data & AI expertise with close, committed collaboration.
Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning are at the heart of our culture. Through topic communities, expert colleagues, and our internal academy, GAIN, you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills in areas such as Agentic AI, Data Strategy, AI Product Development, and Technology Platforms, while helping clients achieve measurable results.
Join a team that loves learning, solving challenges together, and having fun along the way. Ready to join the ride?

Where you’ll make a difference

• Own and architect cloud foundations that power digital transformations – design and implement the core infrastructure, platforms, and services that enable scalable products in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Collaborate across disciplines – work closely with fellow engineers, AI Experts and business transformation leaders as a technical peer to deliver production-ready cloud platforms that create real impact for our clients

• Enable AI and event-driven systems at scale – design, deploy and evolve CI/CD pipelines, serverless architectures, networking, security, and the infrastructure that ML/AI workloads run on

• Design and maintain high-quality, reusable infrastructure code – using Terraform, Python, and modern cloud tooling to automate everything from environments to deployments with reliability and scalability in mind

• Translate architecture into business value – explain cloud decisions clearly to stakeholders so teams understand why a design matters, not just how it works

What makes us the right choice for you

• Step into a role where you contribute ideas, drive innovation, and directly influence how organizations modernize their cloud, automate systems, and scale digital products

• Apply and further expand your deep cloud expertise – work across AWS, Azure, and GCP, design and operate real-world infrastructures, and grow through hands-on projects and complex architectural challenges

• Exchange at eye level with experienced cloud engineers – leveraging peer sparring, architectural reviews, and continuous feedback to sharpen both technical and leadership skills

• Advance your own skills through GAIN® , our certified education and training portfolio, and extend your impact by sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with others

• Work alongside clients as a valued team member – building relationships based on trust, shared goals, and face-to-face collaboration whenever it matters most

• Thrive in a culture that values autonomy, curiosity, and bold thinking – where your voice matters, experimentation is encouraged, and your ideas turn into impactful solutions that are recognized and rewarded

• Join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team that’s ambitious, collaborative, and just the right amount of nerdy – where learning and laughter go hand in hand

What makes you shine
You’re an experienced problem solver – with a passion for building and scaling cloud platforms that power real AI and data solutions. You’ll thrive with us if you bring:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, or data/AI-driven environments – showing your passion for (cloud) technology and your ability to deliver reliable, production-ready cloud infrastructure and platforms

• Sharp analytical and technical skills – you excel at both problem-solving and executing solutions that bridge business and technology

• Strong developer skills – Git is your standard, and writing high-quality, maintainable code is important to you

• A hands-on, growth mindset – you take ownership of your work, embrace challenges, and dive confidently into new cloud technologies or complex technical problems

• Driven by curiosity, collaboration, and growth – you enjoy learning, support others, and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment

• A strong academic track record (STEM field preferred), fluency in both English and German (written and spoken), and willingness to travel regularly to client sites

If you're hesitating because you don't meet every requirement, don't let that hold you back. Strong candidates often underestimate how well they fit a role. If this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply!

Where you’ll work
Most projects require working onsite at client locations throughout Germany (and occasionally Europe) for several days per week.
While our main office is located in Heidelberg, many of our team members are based across various cities in Germany. This reflects our flexible and distributed team structure, which means that relocation is not required.
At the same time, as we continue to grow our Heidelberg office, being located within reasonable travel distance is an advantage and helps facilitate collaboration.

In their own words
"Working as a cloud engineer at Rewire means taking ideas and shaping them into reliable, scalable cloud platforms. I move from designing architectures and trying out new approaches to building and running them in production. The variety in this work keeps things challenging and allows me to continuously grow as an engineer. Alongside client projects, we also develop and refine internal cloud automations, always looking for smarter and more efficient ways to work. And best of all, I get to do this with a great group of people!" – Thomas Bennis, Senior Cloud Engineer at Rewire…
