Senior Data Platform Engineer

At Swile, we believe that good products can help reduce friction in daily professional life and boost employee satisfaction. Today, we provide innovative solutions in various areas such as Fintech, Travel, HR, and Employee Benefits to more than 5.5 million users in 85,000 companies in France and Brazil.

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer , you will join the Data Platform team. We are an enablement team: we build the tools, standards and foundations that let every engineering team at Swile own its data autonomously. You will work at the crossroads of data, software engineering and infrastructure, in a senior team where everyone has a direct impact.

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, your mission will be to:

• Design and improve the tools and platforms that empower engineering teams to build and run their own data pipelines

• Ship AI tooling (Skills, MCP) as part of the platform, to help teams design, build and run their data products

• Contribute to our batch processing (Airflow, dbt) and event-driven architecture (Kafka)

• Define, document and promote standards and best practices

• Help teams adopt our tools and practices, and grow their skills

• Evangelize the platform vision and build relays across teams, in France and Brazil

✨It will be a perfect match if you:

• Have solid experience in data engineering or platform engineering, with a good software engineering culture

• Have strong expertise in one area (data, infrastructure, software, EDA/streaming, developer tooling) and are curious to learn the others

• Have worked with some of these: Python, Ruby, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, Terraform

• Are autonomous, communicate clearly, and enjoy collaborating with and supporting other teams

• Are curious about new tools and practices, including AI (no expertise required)

• Speak good English (we work daily with our teams in Brazil)

• You are a future responsible swiler: you share our commitment to the environment, diversity, fairness and inclusion and are prepared to work every day to improve individual and collective performance.

📓 One thing worth to be mentioned

We welcome people from entrepreneurial backgrounds as well as from established organizations. A platform, infrastructure or software background is just as relevant as a pure data engineering one. At Swile, we believe that delivering impactful products requires engineers to understand the needs of users and clients as well as the code itself.

⚒️ Our tech stack

• Ruby/Rails, Typescript/Node.js

• Terraform/Terragrunt, Python, SQL, dbt

• AWS/Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka (MSK), Airflow (MWAA), Snowflake

💡What’s in it for you ?

• An opportunity to integrate a dynamic team of talented engineers.

• A broad role with direct impact on how many teams work at Swile.

• Competitive salary and benefits package.

• Professional development and career growth opportunities.
