About the role
Supabase is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Turso core database team. Turso is a Postgres-compatible database, and this role works on its Postgres compatibility layer and on maintaining and scaling Turso Cloud operations as usage grows toward 100x the current number of databases.
What you will do
Build and improve the Postgres compatibility layer for Turso. Maintain and scale Turso Cloud operations. Work in Rust on core database internals. Use deterministic simulation testing to find and fix correctness issues before they reach production. Operate services on AWS and Kubernetes.
What you bring
Strong Rust engineering skills. Experience with database internals or distributed systems. Familiarity with Postgres behaviour and compatibility concerns. Comfort owning production operations for cloud database services on AWS and Kubernetes. A testing mindset, ideally including deterministic simulation testing.
