Figma

Best for: Cross-platform remote teams of 5–100+ designers requiring real-time collaboration and native developer handoff

Pros:
+ Unlimited simultaneous editors with live cursors and threaded comments
+ Native design tokens for spacing, colors, and typography introduced in 2024
+ Dev Mode provides CSS, iOS, and Android code snippets with redline measurements
+ 400+ integrations via API and 1,000+ community plugins

Cons:
- Cloud-dependent performance slows complex file processing compared to local execution
- Dev Mode costs $25/seat/month unless on the $60/month Organization plan
- Per-editor pricing creates high cost multipliers for teams exceeding 20 designers
