Client Delivery Lead - GenerationFlex

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!
Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.
We create the technology that redefines utilities and unlocks a new energy system of the future. By optimising renewable generation, building a more intelligent grid, and empowering utilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience, our operating system is transforming the industry worldwide.
It’s an incredibly exciting time to work in energy. Join us on our mission to improve the lives of ONE BILLION humans within the decade and shape a cleaner, better future for everyone.
The energy industry is undergoing the largest transformation since industrialisation, at an unprecedented rate of change and we are positioning ourselves at the heart of it. In Germany, home to the largest electricity market in Europe and a roadmap toward Net Zero by 2045, we are scaling rapidly to integrate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) into the grid.
Kraken is recognised as a thought leader and innovator. We are building a SaaS business that digitally connects hundreds of thousands of DERs with energy markets. As we expand our footprint in Germany and the wider European market, we are looking for a Senior Client Delivery Lead to support our German GenerationFlex clients on their Kraken onboarding journey and wider business transformation.

🐙 About GenerationFlex
The energy system is changing fast. Renewables are growing, demand is becoming more peaky, and grid constraints are showing up in more places, more often. Kraken GenerationFlex is how utilities and asset owners navigate that complexity at scale.
We help organisations run portfolios of grid-scale assets - BESS, renewables, and co-located sites - in a way that's commercially aligned, operationally safe, and practical to manage day to day.
From trading enablement and control & dispatch, to alerts, data services, and settlements, our platform gives teams the visibility and automation they need to respond well to change across multiple assets, markets, and regulations.
We're a mission-driven team making the big green dent in the world, and we're looking for people ready to help shape what that looks like next.

🏠 Where you’ll fit in: The Delivery Team
We are looking for an experienced Client Delivery Lead to build industry-leading product experiences for our European clients. If you love making things better for clients, building great products, working with technology (software + hardware), bringing people together to find solutions, then you’ve come to the right place.
GenerationFlex is different to the wider Kraken universe and highly cross-functional: our product bridges software and hardware in order to allow our clients’ trading teams to effectively control their assets across multiple markets and asset types. The Client Delivery Lead has direct responsibility for creating, managing and prioritising the client onboarding roadmap to ensure clarity and understanding with both the Kraken and client business. They need to always work in partnership with the product, software engineering, asset onboarding and electrical engineering teams at Kraken and are the main point of contact for our clients and their partners.

🚀 What you'll own

• Client relationship: manage and coordinate a multitude of stakeholders during the initial client implementation phase, ranging from construction site managers to software engineers to senior business stakeholders. Be the first point of contact for tech development and issue resolution during the implementation phase, organise workstreams, flag dependencies, coordinate internal and external teams, and provide clear and concise updates to keep everyone on track and on the same page.

• Regional Market Expertise: act as the subject matter expert for our clients and wider Kraken teams thanks to your deep understanding of the German and European energy markets, including hardware and connectivity requirements, TSOs and DSOs, re-dispatch, ancillary-service requirements and competitor landscape. Help evaluate hardware and software solutions for regional fit.

• Kraken technology: Develop deep product knowledge of Kraken’s technology offering in European markets, and, together with your regional market expertise, help our clients along a smooth onboarding journey. Understand our clients’ user needs and how our capabilities enable their asset management and energy trading strategies.

• Strategic outlook : work closely with our account managers to understand our clients’ priorities and enable strategic business reviews and client transformation workshops. Spot opportunities for product enhancements, market expansion, user growth and upselling.

• Internal process improvements: drive internal process improvements to enhance our onboarding journey and speed up time to value. Work closely with product, engineering, customer success and support teams to provide a smooth client experience.

🧠 What you'll bring to the party

• In this position you will be laser focused on satisfying our client’s needs.

• We are looking for people with strong problem solving skills and a super positive solutions oriented mindset. If you have a taste for raising up to challenges and a winning mindset, this position is the right fit for you!

• Strong client delivery and/or product ownership experience working across software and hardware.

• Experience of working with complex delivery pipelines for clients, coordinating multiple teams, spotting dependencies, mitigating risks and maintaining momentum.

• Exceptional relationship management across a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally: software engineers & architects, electrical engineers, C-level executives, commercial teams, project managers, product managers, cyber security experts, procurement & logistics, finance etc.…
