About us
We are experts in building central cloud platforms, cloud risk mitigation and cloud operating models, providing thought leadership to central government and private enterprise organisations to help them unlock the true value of cloud.

Why you should join us
At Cloudscaler, you'll be part of a consultancy at the forefront of cloud transformation, trusted by government, defence, and enterprise organisations to deliver complex AWS solutions that make a real national impact. From modernising public services to securing critical infrastructure, the work you do will matter far beyond technology.
We combine the agility of a startup with the credibility of an AWS Advanced Partner, creating a high-trust, high-performance culture where self-starters thrive and every voice is heard. You'll work closely with senior leadership and cloud experts, shaping meaningful projects and driving innovation.
By joining us, you'll accelerate your personal and professional development through hands-on experience with cutting-edge cloud solutions. You'll learn directly from experts while contributing to some of the UK's most ambitious cloud programmes, gaining exposure and influence you wouldn't find in a larger consultancy.

About the role
This is a migration-focused architecture role centred on the AWS Migration Acceleration Programme (MAP), and it demands genuine platform and infrastructure depth alongside it. You will own the technical shape of enterprise migrations end to end, from early portfolio discovery through to delivering pilot migrations, and you will be the person who makes sure funding is unlocked because the work genuinely meets AWS criteria, not because a box has been ticked. You will also design and govern the platforms those workloads land on.
We hire people who have actually done this. A polished CV that lists MAP is not the same as having run the phases, modelled the business case, and stood behind the deliverables. You will be expected to demonstrate real, hands-on understanding of the programme, not just familiarity with the terminology.

What we're looking for
We're looking for people who live and breathe cloud, not just delivering solutions but constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible and finding better ways to do it. For this role, that means:

• Hands-on experience delivering across the full MAP lifecycle, with the scars to show for it rather than theoretical awareness.

• A working understanding of MAP funding submission criteria, including eligibility thresholds and the evidence needed to unlock funding.

• Designing and delivering secure, scalable and resilient AWS platforms for complex enterprise workloads.

• Architecting large-scale systems across infrastructure, networking and security, with a strong understanding of AWS reference architectures.

• Leading landing zone design and implementation, migration roadmaps, and modernisation programmes.

• Applying Well-Architected principles in hands-on technical design, ensuring best practices are consistently met.

• Building cloud-native security solutions to prevent, detect and remediate risks on AWS.

• Using a wide range of AWS services across both platform and workload-focused services in production environments, including AWS Organizations, CloudTrail, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, IAM and IAM Identity Center.

• Designing and providing technical governance over the delivery of significant cloud workloads, and setting technical direction for enterprise-scale cloud projects.

• Providing technical leadership to cross-functional delivery teams.

Beyond the technical, we care about how you work. You'll be technically curious, someone who builds and tinkers beyond the day job and can talk about it with genuine enthusiasm. You'll be a strong communicator who can hold the room with clients and translate complex migration decisions into terms a business audience understands. And you'll be growth-minded, comfortable in a fast-moving consulting environment where you win trust by delivering, not by title.
